Despite the slightly improving economic numbers coming out of the federal government, the fact remains that many convicted felons are still struggling to find work in this economy.   If you are looking for work, and if you’ve tried traditional methods looking for warehouse jobs for felons, you’ll want to consider how you can also engage in methods that are less-than-traditional job searches.

International Job Fairs
For most convicted felons, searching for a job is limited to what we know – the area within our towns and cities.  But, because there are so many limitations on the work that felons can do, it is important to think outside-the-box and also consider international job fairs.

Using job search portals, like Indeed.com, you can find not only mercenary jobs but also jobs that are international as well as the associated job fair events.

Virtual Job Fairs
Using virtual job fairs, as a way to secure international jobs, is a great way to secure a job without needing to venture outside of the U.S. borders.  In some cases, the employer may want to Skype with you to ensure they have a feel for how you look and behave, but ultimately you’ll find that you can secure a job with this resource.  In addition, check the job opportunities that may come up through the international connections and efforts at Change.org jobs.  So, do a search for virtual job fairs, and look for jobs that are not only in the U.S. but also jobs that reach beyond our borders.
